Morfik just sent a press release, starting:”Morfik Will Pursue all Avenues to Protect its IP Rights”. In the paper Fuad Ta’eed (Director, Business Development, Morfik) states that after Web 2.0 Conference (October 2005), Morfik gave access to “… leading search engine providers … special more detailed presentations to their engineers or gained access to additional confidential information about JST.”
7 months later Google released … GWT. Funny! Fuad also notes that Morfik has being developing the technology since the year 2000 and has invested a lots of resources in R&D.
I am not an IP expert, and thus cannot comment on that part of the story. But having used the Morfik WebOS AppsBuilder for awhile now, I can state this is the ultimate tool for any desktop developer trying to move to the Web, and for any web developer tired of JavaScript and HTML. Why:
It supports four languages: Java, C#, VB and Pascal.
It can generate code for both Linux and Windows.
It is like Visual Studio and Borland Delphi: a RAD tool!
